In 2018, the project site was struck by a powerful typhoon, causing a partial landslide at Niutouling and damaging the native vegetation. After thorough discussions, it was decided to construct a retaining wall on the damaged slope to stabilize and restore the mountain’s form. At the same time, a commemorative chapel would be built in the form of a landscape structure.
